The Global Scholars Olympiad follows a structured three-stage examination process designed to identify and recognize students with outstanding knowledge, reasoning ability, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
For 2026, the Olympiad will provide a flexible examination pathway that allows students from Bangladesh and around the world to participate.
The competition consists of three stages, with the first two conducted online and the Final Examination offered through two participation formats.
Stage 1: Preliminary ExaminationThe journey begins with the Preliminary Examination.
The Preliminary Examination will be conducted online, allowing all eligible participants to take part from their own location.
This stage is designed to assess students' foundational knowledge, logical reasoning, understanding, and academic potential.
Students who achieve the required qualifying standard will advance to the Secondary Examination.

Stage 3: Final ExaminationThe Final Examination is the highest and most competitive stage of the Global Scholars Olympiad.
For 2026, finalists will have two options for participating in the Final Examination:
Students who wish to participate in the physical, paper-based Final Examination can travel to Dhaka, Bangladesh and sit for the examination at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB).
This option provides finalists with the opportunity to experience the Olympiad in a physical examination environment and participate in the final stage alongside other qualified participants.
Students who are unable to attend the physical examination in Dhaka—or who prefer to participate remotely—can take part in the Virtual Final Examination.
This option allows eligible finalists to participate from anywhere in Bangladesh or anywhere in the world, without needing to travel to Dhaka.
Both pathways provide qualified finalists with the opportunity to compete in the Final Examination and be considered for the top positions, awards, and championship recognition.
